Our History

Since 2016, we have been convening a cross-disciplinary group of academic and industry experts and the general public to explore the impacts AI, machine learning, and other frontier technologies have on our personal and professional lives.

On this journey, we have helped members of our community find jobs, business partners, new hires, funding, friends, lovers (yep!), and a general sense of belonging.

In 2018, we became an official California 501(c)(3) non-profit to support the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) communities of the Greater Los Angeles area.

Throughout the years, we have hosted a combination of over 100 in-person and virtual events, including panel discussions, technical workshops, hackathons, design workshops, summits, symposia, happy hours, and (soon) citizen science projects.

It’s our mission to catalyze innovation through education, conversation, and collaboration.

Our story has only begun, and we hope you'll join us as we build the Greater Los Angeles region into a hub for responsible AI research, development, and application.
