With a background in computer science and extensive experience leading ML-powered products, Katie brings technical fluency alongside a systems-level understanding of how AI is adopted inside institutions. In her role, she focuses on growing AI LA's ecosystem—ensuring startups, corporations, nonprofit partners, and community members all derive meaningful value from the organization. A seasoned nonprofit leader, Katie has built and scaled programs, partnerships, and revenue models for mission-driven organizations such as the Ojai Film Festival and the Mozilla Foundation, as well as startups like Native Voice and Mobcrush, translating their unique offerings into durable, real-world impact. She is passionate about creating inclusive pathways to AI education and careers, and about helping organizations adapt not just their technology—but how people work together around it.

She gives back to her local communities as a bike advocate and mentor for women in STEM, and enjoys backpacking and yoga.
